my 8 year old son would like to join his friends in the local hockey team but he has no experience playing hockey. He doesn't want to hold the team back since most of the kids have been playing hockey since they were 4. Any ideas on how to get him up to speed before the season starts???

Maybe you could see the coach of the team that your son wants to join. he might be able to give your son some coaching. Or ask someone ont he team that is friends with your son for a helping hand. I am sure there would be someone out there that could hep you. Even playing in the back yard with mum, dad, brother or sister (whoever is available). Good luck

Rollerblades. That's what I did. It helps with balance and cordination when there was no ice around. Play street hockey... There are a lot of ways...
