My daughter is two and still will barely go to sleep for daddy. She is just used to mommy doin it. So just have him keep doin it and eventually he will learn to go to bed for him.

I had the same issue with my daughter around that age. She was with me 24/7. It could be a bit of separation anxiety also. Like the previous post said, have him follow the routine exactly as you do. After a few times, my lil one was just as comfy with daddy.

Maybe you too are tense waiting to see if baby will go down without your magic touch. Emotionally holding your breath in anticipation gives the baby a cue not to completely relax. If you follow the same routine (you & fiance) it could help. Also put in the routine all those old wind down goodies -lavender, low lights & volume, swaddle, cuddle then cot just as they are drifting - you know all the stuff you have heard before. But if it isn't desperate I'd just go with what works & that's you! You rock your babys world!

Maybe your fiance is too tense or he jsut feels comfortable enough to be put down by you. Babies have their way of noticing different emotions or aura's ... You should let him be, Im sure he'll break free from it soon. Good Luck.
