what's the rush? If they are not interested then why push? What I did was every month I would put them on the toilet at every diaper change and I would let them get up whenever they wanted (sometimes this was immediately). when they were interested they would stay there and finally started going potty in the potty. but when they clearly were not interested I would do that for a week then waited til next month and did it again.sooner or later they will be interested and if you wait for them it soooo easy and a lot less stressful for everyone!

My son wouldnt use a potty, went straight to the toilet, and i used the sticker reward programe as well, brilliant. We did it in summer when my son was nearly 2, because it was so warm, we just let him run around with no pants on, and as soon as it looked like he needed to go, we would go and sit on the toilet, and if he didnt go straight away, we would distract him by reading a book. Good luck

What helped me w/ my son was I made a chart w/ all the days of the week and got a book of stickers. Everytime he went on the potty he picked out a sticker and put it on for the day. Once he got so many stickers in one day he got something special. I think one was ice cream @ Dairy Queen and another was a Happy Meal from McDonalds or a new car from Wal Mart. He really liked being rewarded and picking the stickers out. Also the cherrio's in the potty he thought was fun trying to "sink them" when he went potty.

I just got my 2 year old step daughter pottied trained w/in the last month. She was hard because she didn't show any sort of interest!! It was a struggle for about a month, but now she's doing great. An occasional accident here and there. Anyway I just kept w/ it w/ her. She started not liking it when she got wet from her panties. I also went extremely overboard when she did potty in the toliet that she thought it was great. I'd jump up and down and make a huge ordeal out of it. Then I'd give her some sort of treat. Like an ice pop or fruit snack. Something that her brother didn't have so it seemed special to her. She's been doing so good and I know evertime she goes on the potty because I hear her from the bathroom saying "Yea I did it" in her loudest voice!!
