my daughter started to sleep from 8pm till 6am from 3weeks and she is now 5 months and still sleeps through the night .. she always just was very comfy, warm, no matter what time her afternoon bottle is i always keep her in the same routine of bath bottle bed.. even if the bottle was only two hours before she is due to go to sleep i always give her a top up.. she normally falls asleep during it but thats fine by me.. i've always made night time feeds as boring as possible no eye contact, no light (the only light i had was coming from the door at the opposite or her room.. then as soon as she is finished i burp her and put her straight back in her cot regardless if she is awake or alseep.. play her mobile once and i leave the room..

Unfortunately it can be hard to train a 6 week old to sleep in a regular schedule (unless you are very lucky). My mom (mother of 6 kids) always said that at 6 weeks she made sure that we were awake by 8 am and tried to keep us somewhat active during the day, and most of us were through the night sleepers by 3 months. Your a good mommy staying up with your little one and remember that this too will pass!

There isn't much you can do at 6 weeks. Their tummy is tiny and needs to eat every 1-4 hours. Unfortunately, you will probably have to suffer through it like the rest of us have. It won't last much longer though! Usually around 10-12 pounds they start sleeping through the night. Try a little bigger bottle at night and sleep during the day when your baby does! Good Luck!

My son takes a larger bottle (6oz) at night before bed (hes 6 weeks also). I find that when he drinks this amount and falls asleepby midnight he will wake up about 5:30-6am... sometimes longer. My trouble is getting him to sleep a little longer during the day so I can nap.

She is up the entire time? WOW!!! How do you do it??? Have you tried giving her some tummy time or time on the floor. Hopefully this will make her tired enough to sleep. Does she like the swing? She might sleep in the least like it enough to let you get a bit of sleep. You should try to keep her up more during the day. When she gets tired and wants to nap...try and push her to her limits. She may get a bit fussy but the longer she is awake during the day...the better during the night for the both of you.

I think theres not much you can do at 6 weeks....keeping her awake during the day will only make her overtired and she will sleep less...2 weeks ago my daughter (then six weeks) would awake at 10pm and keep me up till 5 am....then one day she just started going to bed at midnight, and has been doing that ever since....feed your daughter as much as you can at night, dont talk to her, and keep the lights off for now....sleep whenever she sleeps during the day and ignore housework....your health is more important than the laundry....hang in there!!! in a few weeks she will be sleeping better
