My son hated tummy time until he could hold his head up. Now he doesn't want to be any other way. Some babies just don't like it. When they're this young I don't think there's any such thing as being behind, they all develop at different speeds. I would maybe get on your belly with him so he can see you and just do it for short intervals so he can build up his strength and he'll be scooting around on that belly before you know it!

i had the same proble with my daughter, the dr. said to put toys in front of her so she'll grab for them but that didn't work...what did work was time~every baby is differant and will do their own thing when the time is right for him/her

how long have u been doing tummy time, my osteopath told me to do it almost from day one, he had amazing head control almost straight away, but bout 8 weeks he could lift his head clear off the ground! he will get used to tummy time just dont give in to him straight away

Don't worry. My Molly hated being on her tummy until she was able to roll around with ease(6 months) :) Now she is 8 months and LOVES being on her belly....it will come in time :)

A lot of babies hate tummt time, my daughter did when she realized she could roll over. Try getting down with him on your tummy or put a mirror in front of him. Babies like looking at themselves and thinking someone is there. Put little toys that he likes with him. It can take a while, be patient and just keep encouraging it :D

Have you tried laying him on your tummy? ANY time spent face down is tummy time, he doesn't have to be on the floor. Also make sure there are some interesting toys to look at, some that play music or make an interesting noise may be good.
