I used castor oil. I did have a long labour but I had no side effects like diorrhea (sp?) Or cramps. I had two spoonfulls it tasted like vaseline smells lol. Try walking up the stairs sideways and bounce on a birth ball. Good luck

None of the DIY techniques work unless you're already close. You can maybe get labour to start six or twelve hours sooner.. but not days sooner.

Walking, sex (sperm may actually help dilate the cervix by way of prostaglandins), eating pineapple, I've heard all those will help you go into labor. I don't recommend castor oil even though a lot do. It can give you incredibly painful cramps, gas, bloating, diarrhea and may not even have the intended effect of inducing labor.

Actually having sex worked for me, my water actually broke that way. Go for a walk, do some stretches.
