I have had blood work done because my female doctor thought something could be wrong with my thyroid but my blood work came back fine. I'm drinking lots of water and staying away from salty food because I know salt will make you blow up. I need to find a nice place to walk because my son enjoys riding in the stroller and being outside. Thanks for all your help. It's nice to know I'm not alone with this. I have had weight problem my whole life and I just wish I could find something to help.

Having a baby is hard work and then they think you should work your butt off to get back to your "pre-baby" weight. I have alittle over a 1 yr old and I still have 15lbs to lose. I have the "kangaroo pouch" and i say it is just a little seat for my daughter to use at her will. If you are really tired your body will be hungry to give it some natural energy. So try to get your rest. And eat foods that will hold you off for a while. Take your time and just be confident in yourself, you gained this weight for a perfect reason. I know how you feel but your not the only one in this boat. Wait until your child is running around the house like a crazed baby getting into everything, thats when we will lose that weight :))

I am totally having the same problem! my baby is 6 weeks old, I am watching what I eat, and am going back to my pre-pregnancy diet (because of high cholesterol) and I feel like I am packing on the pounds rather than becoming my old size 4 self. how frusterating!

hi
i kinda had the same prob but i found out that its just alot of water in your body I didn't lose the water build up until after she was one and I didn't breastfeed so I wouldn't know if that helps but I gained alot and ate alot but then I started to walk every night just to get my body back in shape and it helps relieve the stress and tension in your body

Maybe see your doc for some advice on dietary tablets or get some bloodtests done... you may be lacking some important vitamins or it could be a different problem all together. .... have a chat to them. let us know how you get on.

if your baby is any thing like my 5 month old put them in the stroller and do lots of walking it is good exercise for you and can help your baby sleep..... plus can be good alone time for you and baby or even good family time just get out of the house be in the sun and relax with a good walk...... Good Luck and Happy Mothering

I'm with Sahra.... If you are breastfeeding you should be eating more anyway, its your babys food as well... however, while i was breastfeeding I lost majority of my pregnancy weight from it but I also kept active, constantly walking aroundand doing abit of weights. If you don't lose it all straight away, don't stress about it, you will. My second child is 6 months old soon and I still have 4kgs to go to get to the weight I was before I had my first one!!! You will do it! Just watch what you're eating, Not too much junk and do some exercise, i know its hard to find the energy but if you want to lose it quickly thats what you need to do! much luck chick.

No, I'm not breastfeeding. I guess maybe my body is still trying to used to the fact of having a baby. My son is a year old though so I would think my body would be going back to like it was. I ate while I was pregnant but nothing like I am now. It's like nothing I eat fills me up for long.
