I MADE A GAME OUT OF IT BY HAVING DADDY AND HIM SEE WHO COULD HIT THE MOST APPLE JACKS WHEN THEY PEE-PEED. IT WAS HALARIOUS AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT HE WOULD GO THROUGH MORE BOXED OF CEREAL THAN THE WHOLE FAMILY ATE....THEN HE TAUGHT ALL HIS FRIENDS IN SCHOOL AND THE TEACHER GAVE HIM AN AWARD FOR MOST HELPFUL AT THE END OF THE YEAR!

Sounds good. I hope it goes that well. It took my girls a while at night too. They are 9 and 8 now. We tried pull-ups with my oldest and she just used them like diapers and wouldn't tell us she had to go so we put her in underwear and it was no time. That's what I plan to do with him. I'm off in the summers so I will have a lot of time to devote to it.

Told him to 'go pee on a tree'. Honestly. I was a single mom and it was summertime; a friend rasied 3boys on her own and she gave me that little bid bit of info, worked like a charm. I bought him a pottyseat that fit over the toilet and when he had to poo he told me and I would put him on it. He was potty trained in less than 2wks, no pull ups. At night took a bit longer, but by the end of the summer he was completly potty trained.

I'm starting to potty train mine in 2 weeks. I'm going with doing it in the warm weather and letting him pee on trees although I have heard the same thing about boys not wanting to poop in the toilet. A funny yet helpful peeing in the potty tool that a friend told me about was the put a cherieo or fruit look in the toilet before he pees and tell him to see if he can pee in the hole. I'll try anything. Good luck!

Damn that sux... I know my son is 3. He calls the poop rocks and says he knows he has to put the rocks in the toilet but never does....I force him to sit on there for hours after a meal and he doesnt do anything. As soon as I take him off, he poops his underwears.....Its frustrating

Interesting. I tried rewarding him too. He would take the reward and thats it. He pees in the toilet but won't poop. I tried to bribe him with toys and he will keep saying he will use the toilet and doesnt. Its hard. He is a smart kid . He just wont poop in the toilet. Im all out of ideas!

This is no easy task let me the first to tell you! I don't even have a sure awnser to give you. When I was pregnant with my second the first was 2 going on 3. We started to try to potty train. And it went well. We gave him 1 m&m everytime he peed. We were never able to get him to poop in the toilet though. But when I had the baby it all fell apart and he wanted to be a baby. Though I still attempted to potty train. He didn't really catch on till one day out of the blue he had his underware on and just went to the bathroom and pooped and that was the end of diapers for him. So it is just about waiting till he is truely ready! And I know how much that sucks! haha
