I am having a difficult time setting boundaries with my almost 11 month old baby. She thinks it's funny when I am trying to be serious. I want her to explore, I just don't want her to get hurt. Is she to young to understand? How do I discipline my baby at this age?

try so say something besids no some times they get so used to hearing no that they tune that word out. just vary the way you say no

She is still to young for time-outs. At 11-months old, the best thing is to keep reinforcing that what ever it is she is doing is a no-no. I know you may sound like a broken record, but keeping saying no and distracting her with something else to do it will eventaully catch on. =0)

My daughter is now 14 months old and i had to start at 9 months with her.She did the same thing-laugh when I would tell her no. I learned to walk to her, get down to her level, tell her no, and tell her why. You have to use a stern voice so that she knows you are serious. Then move her away. I am having a similar problem with my daughter. She has never been burned before so when she starts to go to the stove or the grill i try to explain to her it's hot, but she doesn't know what hit is. Try this and I hope it helps..
