I'm just wondering... are you having a hard time getting him to sleep or is he just getting up on all fours and playing? Everyone seems to think it's that he's having a hard time sleeping, but I'm reading that he keeps getting on all fours. Or did I miss something?

No he takes two naps during the day, My mom says dont wake him up et him sleep so his naps are like 3 hours and then at night he wakes up at around 10 and wants to try to crawl all over his crib

Hello,

My name is Kimberly and I have 4 kids aging from 12, 10, 7 and 4 years old. Usually when a baby doesnt want to go to sleep it can be many of reasons.

1) Is he teething?

2) Took a late nap

3) Ate cereal or fruit late and so on.

But usually at that age you can give him a luke warm bath with Chamomile or Lavender and even the Aveeno oatmeal relaxing bath to calm him. Then dry him off, clothe him and then rub in circular motions on his back or tummy. That is comforting to a baby at that age and a security.

Hope this helped alittle. Take care.

leave him to it, just make sure you dont have bumpers on the cot for him to get in a tangle with, he will just lay down and sleep when he is ready my little girl does this all the time, i often find her head on matress bum in air on her front so just turn her over when i go up to bed. good luck hun x

You have to be persistent in whatever you decide to do. You can't continuously give him the bottle/breast or he'll engorge himself and often get gas. Try standing and swaying from side to side with him. Don't speak unless it's a calm, quiet voice and you're singing a soft song or just saying "nighty night" or something. You could also try bouncing. He's going to cry some but he'll get the picture after a few nights hopefully. Depending on his size, he might still fit in a swing safely. If so, that would be helpful so that you can at least rest, if not sleep, until he goes to bed. Good luck!!

There is not really much you can do. Does he crawl yet or just get on his hands and knees? All you can do is let him be, and eventually he'll fall asleep. Babies actually learn to do a lot of things in their cribs. So just make sure the rails are up and he can't get out:o) Good luck!

what do you do when he gets up? give him a bottle? DONT! just lay the him back down, let him cry it out, hes not going to die, he'll eventually realize it's not workin, make him that much more tired, and maybe even sleep in!! It's hard listening to babies cry, but if you don't get it over with, this is what you will deal with for a looooong time.

good luck!
