How do I get my son to want to potty train?

Well, I started when he turned two, now he will be three in two months, and he does not seem to want to potty train. I would like him to start preschool in September, but he needs to be potty trained. I just don't know what to do or how to get him to want to go. I even reward him for going with tem tattoos, and my mother gives him matchbox cars. Any suggestions or words of wisdom?
Thanks
Erin M.

My daughters best friend was getting potty trained around the same time (plus i babysat her bff) ...she was 3 i think and i just said ok no more peeing in the diaper look at your friend she doesnt pee in a diaper and we went from there...I took the pull ups away during the day and just used em at nap time and at night...and eventually she decided to pee in the potty and not her underwear

This might be funny.. But I let my son run around naked all the time inside and outside. I lived in a house though. And we played outside a lot and when he had to go I would tell him to aim for the ant piles or the tree or a stick or write something, drawl, aim at a leaves. He thought it was more of a game then him learning to go potty. and because I did it this way he learned to aim in the potty and I never had problems with him peeing on the floor. I would cheer him on if he actual hit the ant pile or the tree of what ever if he did it right. Plus he thought it was cool he got to go outside. I would say make it a game or a challenge to him. But remember every time he does it correctly have like a mini party dance around give him high fives. Just don't give him prizes because he will expect them every time. Good luck it will happen.

LOL...I can remember when my son was 1 he was trained before he was 2 years old. Dont do what I did because you may be heartbroken, but I wanted my son to potty train as soon as possible because the lady that was going to have him told me she wants him potty train by 2. I day my son just kept boo booing in his diapers he knows how to go to the restroom I guess she was be stubborn so I left the diaper on him. Let me remind you my son is a neat freak and love to stay clean! He cried and cried I pull him to the side and talked with him he told me sorry and from then on my son was potty trained. I know that sound mean but I know son and he is a very fast learner is going to acadamy school this year he is very intelligent. I wish the best on trying to get your child potty train...God Bless!
