I have done verything that I can think of to get rid of these things. I have washed everything, Sprayed everything even washed the animals. I got them out of every room exept my daughter's they refuse to leave. Theres non in the livingroom non in the other bedrooms just hers. The house is spottless and I vacumm but nothing works. We are going to be ripping up the carpets gradually over the summer. In the meantime I need some ideas to get rid of these things.

Thank You Very Much. I will try the dishsoap and light. My daughter is 4 so I don't think she will eat it.

my indoor cat ended up with fleas when my brother in law brought his flea infested dog over. my poor cat it turns out was alergic to the flea treatment. so what i did was to wash her every few days with baby shampoo and then combed her out. i combed her a few times a day and vacuumed the crap out of everything. and everything that i saw her laying on got washed in HOT water and dryed in the dryer for an hour.

after about a month they were gone.

some tricks that i found when i googled it were

take a small bowl of water with dishsoap in it and put it in the center of the room before you go to bed. put a small light over the bowl. the fleas will be attracted to the light and go in the water. i never actually tried this because i didn't have a light that would work.

another thing is to take borax and salt and mix it together and sprinkle on your carpet and leave on overnight. in the morning vacuum. a warning on this one though...borax can be toxic to young children, so if your daughter still crawls on the floor and picks stuff up and eats it then you wouldn't want to try this. i have two small kids so i didn't try this either.

if you go to www.ask.com and type in flea remedies you will find a ton. hope you can find something that works.
