My son is 7 months old aswell! we have recently started to feed him what we have (minus salt, pepper, herbs etc) and occasionally he will enjoy it and at other times he will hate it. We recently tried Bolognese and he absolutely hated it so its all hit and miss but i suggest looking at this sight for recipe ideas...

Don't cut out the herbs!! Those have really good nutritive properties and are REALLY good for him! Plus it helps him develop a healthy eating habit and will help prevent pickiness later on. Herbs=GOOD STUFF!

But, yea, no salt. They don't need that. :)

I didn't know that! i was told to just cut out any extras you put in your food but thanx will do that from now on!

my boy is 7 months old and eats everything , he eats what we have for dinner loves , spaghetti bol , sausages and mash potato , and lamb cutlets and steam vegies , i make sure every thing is cut up to his size although the lamb i leave whole because he holds it himself and chews on it , he also eats finger foods like cut up vegimite sandwiches , any fruit cut up and vegies , fingers of cheese are also a hit , as well as mini pancakes for treats of course he dosent have eggs or anything with nuts yet , oh yeah and Tuna mornay he loves ,loves ,loves it !!! good luck its so much fun exploring new foods with bubba , he is a cutie too !!

...whatever she wants (within reason). Obviously I wouldn't give her candy or nuts but honestly she can have anything she's interested in. Just make sure it's mushy and she can swallow it.

everytime i bring my daughter to the dr he gives me a piece of paper that tells me what she she have until the next dr visit..my daughter is 7 months as well & she loves 2 try new things except the baby food meats so i usually give her little bits of real meat..but i was told once she can pick up things w just 2 fingers that she can eat finger foods & proceed from there 2 real food on a regular basis
