how do i transition?

[deleted account] ( 5 moms have responded )

I finally wrapped up my college career and now have taken on the roll of a full time working mother. I have been home with my son since he was born, and although he is about to be 6 years old, is in the 1st grade and in school from 8am to 2:30... something just doesnt feel right, i no longer can take him to school and pick him up and by the time i get home i am so exhausted it seems like all the energy i have left in me goes to cleaning the house, doing laundry and cooking dinner..

how do i go from being a stay at home mom, there every single minute for him to now missing everything it seems...

Thank you so much Laura, i appreciate the kind words. It has been a lot of work especially with getting pregnant so young and having life get all chaotic and out of order. lol. but it has been worth every minute and i hope that this new path will only lead to more happiness for my little family and bring us closer together.

first of all be very proud of your accomplishment!! that is so great. i would suggest having your hubby help with chores, or just take the time to put them aside for a while so you can spend a couple of quality time hours with him before he goes to bed.. then if permittable, on weekends you can make it a point to all do something together that he and you all will enjoy.. hope this helps
