I dont think you can change anyone! It all depends who the father is, what his morals are like. Thanks for mu hubby...he has not missed one event in the kids lives even if its a girly jazz show or even just for practise, teacher interviews, firsts, etc.

I stay home with our son during the day but I got a night job to bring in extra money. At first my fiance' wasn't happy about the idea of being alone with the baby. After a few weeks of him doing it though, he now looks forward to that time they get to spend together. They take us for granted when we are around! Its just how they are. Make them do stuff! They can do more than we give them credit for. As a mom we are just quicker to respond and we tend to shelter more. It's not that they don't care or don't try, they just do it in a different way.

I think it can be very hard for dads to get involved when they are working full time trying to support the family....but i have found that the more time Olivia(my daughter) spends with her the more he wants to b involved....for me it started with leaving her with him for 20mins while i went to shop so he had to look after her n slowly built up from there....now she is 7months old n he is very helpful n involved n even looks after her for a full day once a week so i can finnish my studies!
