How do you get family to help?

I have decided to open my own childcare center and I have two children. With all that I am doing at this time I would like a little time to spend with my husband. The only people that take my kids are grandma Beth, Mimi, and my friend Heather. I think about how my other family members take care of the other kids in the family but they don't watch mine. I actually pay while the other family members don't. What should I do so that I can go out for an adult supper without pushing my kids on the three adults that help me when I have appointments or need to go shopping? I've never had my 3 yr old watched by anyone other than the 3 people that help and my 5 month old has only been left with Heather and Mimi.Should I continue asking my family or should I look for someone in the community that I could learn to trust?

i would suggest looking for a local teenager to help you out. find other moms in the area and ask them for referances. with the summer coming up lots of teenage girls will be looking for ways to make extra cash. if you are completly uncomfortable with that idea try and look for another couple you can share babysitting with. one week they go out and you watch the kids the next week it is switched.

my mother in law which not watch my daughter well she has before but is reluctant to, i have plenty of friends offer but like you say my mother in law is the only one who knows her (due to my efforts not hers) so i dont feel comfortable leaving her with anyone else yet. but maybe you could find a friend that will spend time with and get to know yur kids so they are able to baby sit sometimes?
