How do you get your kids off a game system if there daddy playes it as much or more

yeah.. definitely wait till the kids aren't around for him to play... now if his playing is hurting his relationship with the child(ren) or you.. then thats a problem and y'all nee to sit down and talk about it..

I think Jessica has a good system going. Sounds like dad could be put on the system too.

We have a rule in our family that each person gets 30 minutes of game time. Then everyone goes outside for a while. My husband also likes to play games so if he wants more time than he waits till the kids are in bed.

Parenting is a team effort! He should work with you not against you. Maybe you could suggest he do most of his gaming when the kids are in bed? Or make a rule that games are played only on the weekend. Setting up a reward system works great with my son. He earns pennies for making good choices and doing chores. So many pennies earned gets him a reward. For example, 8 pennies earned gets him 30 mins of computer time. It is important that you both work as a team to set postive rules for your kiddos. They will appreciate it in the end! Good luck!
