I am currently doing the same thing and my little girl will be 6 months in a week and a half. I breastfeed her as often she wants. Before she would nurse for 15 min on each breast but now she has nursing down pack that she is content less than 7 mins/each. Your baby may have nursing to a science that he doesn't need to nurse long as before. As long he is healthy and happy, you shouldn't worry. What I do to keep up my supply is to pump for at least 15 mins on each breast and store them every 3 hrs or so. So times when my daughter doesn't want to eat her solids (twice a day (morning for breakfast and early evening for dinner), I give her the bottle of my milk. I TOTALLY understands the playing part because my DD wants to play while nursing! Ouch! LOL! But I think he is fine and keep up the good work!

My five month old breastfeeds up to 13+ times a day. There is nothing wrong with this though. He eats smaller amounts and goes less time in between feedings. THis is how he has always been and its the schedule that he has made himself. They will eat how much they want when they want. I dont suggest making him eat longer when thats not what he wants to do. I guess you have to ask yourself...would bigger meals and more time in between benefit him???.....or does it just benefit me? My son only eats one meal of cereal and or fruits/veggies a day at this point though. THey reccomend that a strictly bf baby stay off any solids for 6 months now. If he is growing just fine....i wouldnt tamper with his feeding schedule. Let him make it....not someone else.

My daughter is 6 months old. She's pretty much been sleeping through the night for about a month and a half now. She eats every 2-3 hours during they day. She usually eats for about 10-15 minutes. She eats cereal in the morning and evening and about a jar of baby food. Your baby will let you know if he's still hungry.

It sounds good to me. The breast milk is great for as long as you're willing/able to do it! It sounds like he's getting enough. Double check with your dr if you're still not sure.

well it sound like your son is doing just fine. maybe increase his feedings by like five minutes to see if this makes a difference. my girl is 4, almost 5 months, she is already sleeping through the night. if your little one does wake up during the night make sure as well that you don't pick him up right away. let him self soothe. when my little one is starting to move around i go staright in and turn on her sounds of nature lamb. this usually knocks her back out. i think i give her a last feeding around 10pm and she does not wake up till 7am. good sleeper right! well good luck!
