As alot of mothers on here a saying, every body is different.. There is the myth for a lot of women that while breastfeeding you won't have your period, not always the case.. I breast feed my eldest until she was two and a half, my son til he was 9 mths and I was regular during both stages of breastfeeding..

I have a 6 month old. I have been bleeding since I left the hospital.I breastfed for 3 months too, and never stopped. Just a normal flow bleeding. Bad thing is, I lost my insuarance after I had the baby, so I can't afford to go to the doctors to see if this is normal..... which I don't think it is.

i've been breastfeeding for 4.5 months... got my first period about 3 months ago... didn't have another until this week. i was really hoping not to have any until i stopped breastfeeding, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me :\ we're all different though.

It took me about 6 weeks after I stopped breastfeeding. Everyone's different though and from what I understand the time frame can differ greatly. Don't stress too much - but if you haven't started in a month or so more then you might want to mention it to your doctor.

I breastfed my little girl until she was 3 months old....though from having her (and bleeding for however long you're supposed to after natural child birth) i bled continuously from the day i had her until she was 7 months old. Everyone is different, the dr's said there was nothing to worry about and my body was just working itself out. Trust me...you're lucky not to be having it..but if you're still concerned i'd see a dr...maybe go on birthcontrol to start working your body back into a schedual.

I had one cycle in feb and havnt had one since however I dont know if this is true but I was told that if you are still producing milk you wont have one, my son is 8 mo old and I havnt pumped for him since jan, and I still produce a very small amount of milk, I dont know if that has to do with it, but Im also PCOS

Well, my doctors tells me that I'm a very high estrogen woman because I got mine about 4-5 weeks after I finished bleeding even though I'm breastfeeding. So I think it just depends on your body. Make sure that you use birthcontrol (2 types) so that you don't end up having two children less than a year apart. Good luck.

Brestfeeding often slows down getting your period back after having a baby! But that doesn't mean you can't get pregnant again! So take precautions if you're not ready for another one! ;]

I got mine 4 weeks after I gave birth, which put me back on the same cycle I was on before I got pregnant. I breastfed for 2.5 months, and we think it's partially because of the periods that I lost my milk.

Everyone is different, I got mine 2 months after having my bub and I have had it every 2 weeks since!!!!!! Not enjoyable at all (and I breastfeed!), doctors claim its my hormones settling back down but my daughter is 8 months old and I still get my period every 2 weeks.

From what I have heard is everyone is different. I still haven't gotten mine. I am currently breast feeding and on the pill. I even forgot how long it has been since my last period I forgot it is suppose to come back. But I know it will. Thats the only down fall.

My daughter will be 3 months next week and mine just started again this past Monday. I am breastfeeding full time. I was a little worried, but the doc said it is completely normal for it to take some time!
