Yes Rhonda this is a very bad diet for anybody, especially a baby. The fact that you child only poos every 3 days is not right. My baby poos 3 times a day after every meal. Every human being that eats properly will go to the toilet this often. There is no veg in your childrens diet and not enough fruit. You need to research what your child should be eating. Children do need to eat full fat products but things like full fat yogurt and milk. You are giving them very unhealthy drinks aswell. Melissa told you to message her about nutrition and i strongly suggest you do that.

I see that you were thinking about taking away his lunch. I think for good nutrition later down the track he needs to eat 3 well balanced meals a day. My son is almost 2 now, but his diet has been practically the same since he started eating table food. Breakfast - Wheetbix or porridge with some fresh or tinned fruit. Lunch - A form of Meat, Veg, Cheese and if he is still hungry a piece of fruit. Dinner - again a form of Meat, Veg, Cheese. He only drinks water now, I don't give him juice (its a personal choice). One night a week he gets dessert, which is usually a calcium rich ice-cream with fruit.

From researching, I think the decrease in milk is a good thing, and as long as you are giving him proper food, he will grow to be a healthy little boy. When he gets a bit older you can try a multivitamin, even though my son eats what I consider healthy, i do worry about him not getting enough nutrients especially now he is off milk (he's 2), so that has helped ease my mind since he was 1.

JUst keep tryin the juice in a sippy cup, it took my daughter about 6 weeks and 5 different cups before she would drink it but she has got the hang of it now. When it was warm and i had to get fluid in her i just put water in a normal cup and she lapped at it and got a few mouth fulls in.

My daughter is just shy of 8 months and she has just started to wean herself of her bottles, she has 7oz in the morning as soon as she wakes up and 6 or 7oz before she goes to bed. If i try to give her one during the day she just pushes it away she has 3 meals a day. Breakfast is porridge with some cut up fruit in it then lunch is some form of veg, potatoe and cheese and a yogurt and dinner is another form of veg potatoe and i mix some fish or chicken in with it and then she has some fruit after that . Ive found that total greek yogurt is a great source of calcium as it has so much milk in it, it is the only yogurt ive been able to get her to eat and it is toyally natural yogurt, i got the tip out of mother and baby magazine. So with the yogurt, porridge and cheese that i add to her meals im not to worried about the amount of milk she is drinking, after all i cant force it down her so i just make it up in her food. Hope this helps!

My son is 7 months old and nurses 5 times a day and lately once in the middle of the night because he's been waking up, I don't know what's up with that. Then he has about 3 or 4 solid food meals a day, usually only a couple ounces at a time. I make his food so he gets about 2 ice cube sized servings each meal, along with a little cereal in the mornings and evenings. Some days he eats more than others, I just go with his flow. He also gets watered down juice, but he's more interested in banging the cup on his high chair than drinking so he doesn't actually drink a whole lot of that.
