My son is 9 months old and i switched him to milk... well actually soy milk. my doctor recommended this new soy milk with DHA and stuff in it. my fiance is concerned about giving him soy milk because of the hormones in it. if anyone knows anything about soy milk please let me know.........and yes i already know that it is recommended that he not be taken off formula until he is 1 but he eats 3 table food meals a day and is now ready, so not to be mean but i would like only positive feedback.

Hi there I switched my 4 both my kids to regular 2 % milk when they were 6 months. I asked the doc and he said try it. They both strted not to eat thier formula they kept spitting it out. I tried homo milk and they refused to drink it so I finally said the heck with it I tried them on 2% and they are fine. It's up to you what you want to do. If he is ready for it go for it.

My oldest son had a diet of just brest milk until he was four months, it was then that following the Dr.'s advice we introduce infant cerials, single grain blends. When we went for his four months vaccinations, the health nurse gave it to me, because i wasn't suppose to introduce anything until six months. I went back to the Dr. he said it depened on the child and his individual dietary needs. It was on that premise that we introduced cows milk at ten months when he stopped nursing, because he rufused everything else. play it by ear and see what your son son needs, you'll figure it out together.

lol....I did the same thing chick, my son was 3wks his first try with baby food, and he loved it. All he ate was breast milk and baby food till he was 6mnths then he started wanting food food. My son was ready so I went for it, doctors told me he'll let me know if it's no good! I say that if the soy doesn't bother him, bowels & stomach, then don't worry about it! If your interested in the contents of soy milk google it:)
