when my baby turned one, i did alternate bottles of formula and whole fat milk, she didnt know the difference so after afew days i kept her on whole fat milk perminantly and she hasnt noticed any difference. it settles her all the same. however matters change if your baby has allergies so speak to your health visitor x

What worked for me is during the day I would offer warm milk in a bottle and switch it up to a fun sippy cup, and it worked...

i did the entire mixing it with the formula.... and slowly just taking down the formula once she was used to it.... and i did homo milk cause thats what my doc said.... for my daughter tho she got horribly sick everytime i gave her white milk... like puking/not sleeping/cranky/to the nines sick... because of the milk.. *at least thats what i blame it on* and even now still when i give her white milk shes puking... but she can drink chocolate milk (which im pretty sure they dont make them different) and eat cheese and yogurt, everything dairy she can eat.. but when it comes to white milk shes puking and sick... i dont get it...

but yeah do the mixing with formula with homo milk.. thats what i was always told to do.. good luck.

With my daughter my Ped had me do 1/4 whole milk with 3/4 formula for a couple days then 1/2 milk and 1/2 formula for a few days then 3/4 milk to 1/4 formula for a couple days then switch. He did it slowly because she was on Soy formula and could not tolerate regular formula so he was making sure she didnt have allergies.

Make sure your child is at least 1 year of age and I would also run it by your Ped just to make sure they are developmentally ready. If I remember correctly, for the first couple days to switch my son I mixed half formula and half milk and he was fine with it. After that, I gave him just milk by itself. I continued to warm it for quite awhile because he was used to that but after awhile, he didn't care if it was warm or cold. Stick with whole milk between the ages of 1 and 2 and then you can switch to 2%.

With my 2 older girls I just switched it no problem. I also started the sippy cup at the same time, no more bottles. Your supposed to give them whole milk for the first year.

for my daughter we mixed the formula and milk together and slowly reduced the amount of formula. We used whole milk, cause they need the fat thats in it. this seemed to work for us!! Good luck!!
