Hi there. I am currently weaning my 13.5 month old of the breast. We are hopefully close to the end of it. Just wondering what you did to decrease or stop the production. I'd like to rush this process a little.

I heard Sage Tea. Does it really work?

.I breast feed my son but I had to pump and after 3 or 4 months I had to stop because the pump I was using was ripping my nipples off so my dr told me to stop and give him formula and to put cabbage leafs on my breast every day for a week and it took about a week for me to dry up. My sister wrapped her breast in gauze for a bout a week or so but don’t do it to tight. the cabbage leafs work really good if you get engorged mine did that and it hurts really bad my breast swelled up and I had to stand in the shower for about 2 hrs with hot water running on them. I hope that helps

Unfortunately I had to stop breast feeding at 7 months - I really didn't want to but I was ill and had to have a serious operation so had no choice...within 2 weeks of stopping feeding I had absolutely no milk whatsoever!! Give your baby one or two less feeds every few days or a week and substitute with whatever feed you intend to give your baby full time, you will produce less milk as baby gets used to other food....perfect :)

Otherwise, your doctor should be able to give you something to help clear up your milk if it won't go by itself! :)
