MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN ON FORMULA TIL THIS MONTH. I RECIEVE WIC AND THEY GIVE ME CEREAL FOR HER BUT SHE SEEMS TO NOT WANT IT. IS THERE ANY SPECIAL WAY TO GET A PICKY BABY TO EAT CEREAL SO SHE STAYS HEALTHY?? TY!!

Try adding a little white grape juice or applesauce to the mix. Just enough to sweeten it a little.

Depending on the name brand of the cereal you may be able to mix it with either water or formula. Try giving her the cereal with boiled water instead of formula. The formula tends to make the cereal much thicker and heavier. The lighter consistency of the cereal when mixed with water might be more appealing to her. Hope this helps.

cereal isn't necessary so i wouldn't push it if she doesn't want it, go on to other foods if you want.

the iron stores of a healthy, full term baby lasts a MINIMUM of 6 months, but most babes have enough iron to last them until closer to 9-12 months.

My son at first would never eat the rice cereal so I would put a tiny bit of sugar in it for flavor and he enjoyed it much more that way or you can mix it with baby food. Since he didn't like it I just gave him baby food but since he has been on baby food for awhile he eats the rice now without adding sugar just keep trying it or try the other cereals (which I know WIC doesn't cover the oatmeal and stuff) but its worth a shot
