How to make daycare transition easier for mommy?

I am a first time mommy and today I had to take my son to daycare for the first time. He is 9 weeks old. My heart feels like it is broken into a million pieces. He was awake when we arrived there and the daycare worker got him out of his carseat and held him for a few minutes. She gave him to me and I rocked him to sleep. So he was sleeping when I left. He is going to wake up and wonder where mommy and daddy went to. Any suggestions on how to make this transition easier for me?

Keep yourself busy, You're going to think about it. Its only natural for parents to feel worried about their baby. But the easiest thing to ease your mind is to think how this will help your baby develop skills he needs and get to interact with others. Go in a few minutes early and get to know the workers at the daycare, probably make you feel better knowing the people there better, to have a piece of mind. You will miss him and he will miss you, so make the time after daycare family time. It will get easier as your baby gets older.
