i was always told to introduce them to the potty when they are walking well. bring them into the bathroom with you and have them sit on their potty while you sit on yours. poo is always harder cause who wants their kid in the bathroom with them when they poo. but make it interesting for them. get the fancy underwear and tell them that "batman" don't like to be peed/poo'd on and that they want them to use the big potty.

I agree with the previous posts. I was potty trained at 12months (because I liked the pretty underwear) My son however is 2 yrs 7 months and we're working on him. He will go pee on the potty, mostly when I remind him, Poop is a different story. However I agree with everyone else, every child is different. EWatch your child and look for their cues on when they are ready, and my advice, don't ake it a power struggle, they will win, and you will be stressed.

hope I helped

My son used the potty for the first time at 9 months. He was walking really well by then. However he only used it when we put him on there. By 15 months he was using it several times. Getting ready for our new baby we decided to wait to try until right after he was born. By my sons 2nd birthday he was in underwear all day. He wears a diaper to bed at night, and that's it, because he does not have control of his bladder when he is asleep. Lately he wakes up dry alot and has been screaming to wear underwear to bed. So he is getting close, to being pottytrained at night too. If your child is 15 months you can start. I was potty trained at 18 months completely and in panties for 3 weeks on the day I turned 18 months. =) Every child is different though =)

It really comes down to when there ready you can start showing them then potty and explaining it to them but again when they seem interested... My son just turned three and we have been working with him since two... he does pretty good but has accidents every now and again .... we have found that giving him rewards really helps we have a potty chart in the bath room with the days of the week on it everytime he goes pee he gets a star if he goes poop he gets a special sticker he likes cars the movie so he gets car stickers if he makes it through a whole day with out going in his underwear he gets a special treat ... it seems to work

Everyone is different we tried at about 18 months and after a week she refused and hated the potty. We tried again at 2 but family situations put that to a halt. Then at 2 1/2 within a week we were potty trained with pee and month for poo. We wake her once during night for dry sheets. I dont recommend pullups or diapers go straight to putting underwear on if you dont want mess get the plastic covers to go over. Pullups are pretty diapers that is all. I would say it is less of a struggle if you wait till they are 2-3 they are more verbal and aware of how to hold it...which is so important for stores and car rides.

well i have been told that most babys dont potty train till 2 or 3 but my son is 18 months and has been showing shigns of readyness, like pullin on his diaper right after he goes pee, and other things.. but ya never know if he wants to work on potty training this early i say go for it... my son is doing so good with it, we go to the bathroom and he reads his book and by the end of his book there is pee in his potty! He loves flushing it and tellin it by
