I am 39 weeks and for the past couple weeks my body has been incredibly itchy and I have no idea why. Does anyone else have this problem or know why this is happening??

Great idea to check with your doctor. They can prescribe stronger cremes then what is available over the counter. I found it annoying because the relief didn't last long for me...1-2 hrs at most, then I would have to start again. Once baby came though the itching totally stopped within 2 days!

I have the itching ALL OVER my body! No rash or anything, but of course I do get red marks after I've scratched like crazy! The itching is mostly on my stomach, arms, hands, legs and feet.

I'm going to tell my doctor about it at my next appoint this week. It's like once I start itching, I can't stop! Why is it so bad to apply? Isn't it just the crème pretty much like a lotion? I do apply lotion to my body once a day--but I guess that isn't helping!!

Hi Amy- I had the same thing! we thought it might have been PUPPS (google it) but never officially figured it out... It was awful. One thing that sort of helped was topical steroid creme you can have your OB or midwife prescribe. It's annoying to apply but does help some.. and then you can get a bit of sleep :-/
