Hi there!
Hope everyone else is doing as well as I am on this late night of being a mom. Sometimes it is still hard for me to belive that at 23 years of age here I sit as a mom with two kiddos already. Kinda makes me stop and think about all that life has brought my way and to count my blessings one by one. Anybody else feel the same?

Quoting Jessica:

I was actually thinking about that Saturday night after my daughter went to bed, while I was picking up all the toys in my house. I had this thought, all the girls I went to school with are probably out clubbing right now, and I'm picking up after my 2 year old and getting ready to settle down and acually sit through a whole movie with my husband. I got prego at 17, had her at 18, I stepped out of High School and straight into being a full time adult, with more responsibilities than some adults I know of. I never dreamed of being a wife and mother, working a full time job and supporting my family while hubby goes to school. I couldn't have flipped through a catalog and picked a better life for myself!!!

The biggest thing I don't understand is how my parents are still so disappointed in me. I love my life. I get to watch cartoons and play with toys, build block towers for my daughter to knock down... and I don't have to feel stupid about it. It really is like being a big kid, we went to the park yesterday, we played for two hours. How many other 20 year olds get to do that whenever thay want? I'm so happy I had her young enough to completly enjoy every second of it. And I'll still be young when she's all grown up and starting her own life. :)

we are so similar. I am 24 and have been in the same situation for 5 years! my husband has been doing a masters in economics and I have been working on my psych degree at home in my spare time. I had my first daughter when I was 19 and my second just 9 months ago. I dont think anyone can truly appriciate their lives as mothers and what they have unless they have been through it at a young age when you have so much going on at once. I feel the moms in our  generation have to work harder than moms who have kids in their 30s or 40s.

I have never been so busy in my life but I would never wish for anything else. My day starts at 5:30am as I do home daycare, and ends at midnight when I get done studying for the day. Having my own buisness full time while going to school part time and raiseing 2 kids with no family around to help has taught me alot. If I had waited to have my children I dont think I would appriciate them as much as I do and I dont think I would have aprriciated my husband and our marriage as much as I do. Because my husband and I had children young we will have the opportunity to travel and see the world sooner, we will retire sooner and get to enjoy our married life while we are still young.

Good luck to all of you and enjoy being a young mom, there really is nothing better.

Hey. I am 22 with 2 little ones, ages 3 and 1. I consider myself lucky to be in my position. I got so much grief for deciding to be married with children at 18 but I was fortunate to find someone who takes good care of me and have 2 beautiful children. I love being a young mom, it's like being a big kid and I can relive my childhood through them.
