I am working on weining Kyra off the breast, any suggestions on how to do this a little easier?

How old is she? My son was eating solid foods and drinking from a sippy when I weaned him. Basically, he was nursed 3-5 times a day. Once in the morning, 1-3 times throughout the day and right before bedtime. I tried cold turkey. Don't do that. Ever. It HURTS. And it's bad for both of you.

So I started with the night feedings. Took them away, replaced it with a new routine, bathtime, cuddle time, etc. At first he hated it, but then he got used to it. And it got better within a week. Next was the mid-day feedings. Eventually he was only getting booby right when he woke up and after about 2, 2 1/2 weeks of just in the morning nursing, I took that away too. And he fought me a tiny bit the first couple of days but then he got over it and he's been booby free since! Hope this helps, I thought I was never going to get him weaned and I was hurting when he nursed because he had 8 teeth!

Gradually substitute 1 feeding with milk or formula instead of breastfeeding and eventually she will be weened off.

personally cut cold turkey is the best...I was trying for months to wean my son from me...he was drinking from a cup during the day and at night wanted me...(or a bottle)...so finally at about 16months...i just stopped him completely...there is no other way...the first night he cried on and off for a couple of hrs...the 2nd night for like 30mins and after that nothing....

It depends on how much she likes the bottle. My daughter personally hated the bottle.. but then my cousins daughters would have rather had the bottle than the breast. What I had to do was have my mom give her a bottle when she was hungry because if I was holding her all she wanted was my milk because she could smell it. After three days she evetually gave up and took a bottle from me.
