Not early at all! I've been looking for my kids' costumes for the last few weeks! It's so fun when they are this little because they don't have an opinion about it! Mine are 4 and 3 this year and I'm a little bummed I don't get as much say in it anymore! =) I wanted to do raggedy ann and andy one year but couldn't get the costumes together in time. I think the animal costumes are always cute but not that different. I did see an elephant last year that was really cute! I'd check the costume websites. They always seem to have at least one thing I would have never thought of! Good luck and happy shopping! =)

I purchased 2 costumes last year for this year and have already dug out the decorations. Julyish is when my Halloween urge kicks into full gear!

At 10 months I would check Old Navy if you plan on taking him out and about. They have really plushy warm costumes with pants, jackets and they're big enough to put on stuff underneath.

At 7 months last year my Son was the Old Navy Bat, a devil, and Jack O' Lantern. Problem with the Jack O' Lantern is he just kept pulling off the hat. Definately pay attention to how the hats is supposed to stay on if they costume has one.

It's not too early lol. I started thinking about it last week myself. This will be her 2nd Halloween, but my daughter was 10 months last Halloween a December baby lol. We bought a Tinkerbell costume from someone off craigslist who had bought it and never put it on her child (still with tags). We even let her trick-o-treat to 2 of our neighbors houses.

There are so many cute ideas. I just went on to target and wal-mart in order to get an idea. Any baby animal or even a popular charcater are always good choice for little ones. Just make sure you make or buy something that has snaps at the bottom to make diaper changes easier. I think my daughter may end up being Ming-Ming Duck from the Wonder Pets, but I haven't decided yet.

Try looking at costumecraze.com. They have a ton of cute baby costumes. There is all kinds of animals and random things too, like a hot dog or a bag of money! There is a whole bunch of characters from movies and tv shoes. My husband loves star wars and they have all the star wars characters. Check it out.
