I'm a Newbie!

I'm 23 and will have my first baby in July. After being a full-time student my whole life, the transition to being a stay-at-home mom is a little intimidating! Any pointers for not getting "cabin fever"?

Since your due date is in the summer you will be able to go on walks alot so your not all cooped up...i felt that way and i only had 2 months off from work. I always liked the company of people too but only certain ones and you will know who they are and who you want around bc def the first 2 maybe 3 months u just want to be left alone..i did atleast mostly bc my healing process seemed never ending...you should look into programs too since u will be a stay at home mother. Something for baby and you, like yoga or a music class and that can occupy your day and you meet other mothers..you will do great and good luck

Its your 1st baby, I think you will be busy at times just looking at their sweet little faces, and also for 6wks after you give birth, either natural or c-section, you cant lift anything heavier that ur babies weight!!! invite people over, do you have family that live relatively close to you? if so tell them that you dont mind the company(only if you start to get "cabin fever") dont jump the gun you may enjoy being at home by yourself! my 1st baby i told people that we didnt mind the company and regreted it cause i enjoyed the time with my baby and my hubby!
