I would just try a sippy cup my daughter has weened her self not my choice i would have rather kept breastfeeding i loved it. She will not tuch formula so we had to go to cows milk. I have herd that 9 months on the should be ok as long as there is no alergies to it. i started her with water from a cup at 5 months so she already new how to use one. Good luck

I had to stick a bottle in my baby boy's mouth when he was sleeping so that he didn't know he was drinking from a bottle. Otherwise he refused to drink milk... To this day it is a struggle to get him to drink milk.

hi,

i had he same problem with my eldest... dad had to give her a bottle as she could still 'smell' the milk, i just got too upset that she wouldnt take a bottle and thought she would starve!... it took some time and it is a big change for you and baby but it just takes time, and patience and determination. good luk x

Unless there is a medical issue I'd just take it slow, skip the bottle and wean strait to a cup.

Try juice in a sippy cup, nothing like bribing a kid into stopping! Just make sure to brush their teeth more often. It worked for me.

Make sure you are using a medium or heavy flow nipple on the bottle. This may or may not work but at first, both my kids refused the bottle. Then we tried a nipple with a bigger hole and they both took it. Also, consider trying different kinds of sippy cups since you will want to get rid of the bottle in a month anyway. She may take a sippy cup but not a bottle. Good luck.

I am waiting until mine is a year so we can skip formula altogether. Start working with a sippy cup or regular cup with expressed milk or water. The bottle will just be something else to wean her from.
