I would like the middle name to be Stevie after my father, but am having trouble picking a first name that I really love. I have some that I like, but not excited about them. We have two boys and when we found out we were having a girl I was ecstatic so I want something that shows that. I am not due till early April, but was hoping to come up with a name before I am giving birth like I did with my last son. Please help!!!!!

my husband and i are always at odds when it comes with names what we do is i write down a list of all my favorites then we sit down together and the frist time threw he can only cross off the ones he absolutley hates then i pick middle names for the first names that make the first cut (since you already have your middle name won't take to long lol ;) then we go threw again and eleminate more that we just aren't into. once we get down to a few names we just talk about them causually not eliminating any and i even like to yell them lol i have found that you can tell if a name sounds really good by yelling it. By just causually talking about the names you usually unknowningly eliminate them and then we are left with our favorite. thats how we got our daughters names; Kahylie Ann, Bethani Rose, Makinsie Grace.

I LOVE Stevie as a first name for a girl. I named my daughter Charleigh (charlie) and everyone loves it, its a boy name but she fits it so well!

Can I ask why it has to be a middle name
Stevie-Lee , Stevie Marie , Stevie-lorelle in fact Stevie seems to sounds good with almost anything as a first name and if you double barrelled it to sound very Girly x

I have always picked my kids names by the way it flows when you say it if that makes any sense... Like for example my daughters name is Chloe Jane. For me it just felt natural to say... In the end it's all up to what you and your husband agree on, as long as both of you are happy then thats all that matters.

My husband and I liked Zoey and we were having a hard time picking a middle name because neither one would give their middle name up her middle name is Annabeth. I wanted Beth and he wanted Anna. So we just combined. You could try doing something like that with your husband. Good luck.

i have chosen rebecca (but different spelling), which hubby picked from a pup we once had and alana (not sure how im spelling that one lol) and maybe ruby (unless i get a better one) i am quite happy to share if one of them takes your fancy. alana is taken from my brothers name of allan so if you have someone special in your family you could change their name a little to get a new name. (but as my mum said dont call her april {i'm due in april too lol})

I too had a big issue coming up with a name for my little girl cause I work in a child care center and any name my husband said made me think of a child at work...most of them time it was either a common name or the name of a child that was really naughty. It was very difficult. I always loved the name Victoria Faith and once I said that he was hooked. faith was his grandmothers name that passed away when he was young and so it ment alot to his mom's side of the family. I love that you chose a name that has alot of meaning behind it. I really like Allyson Stevie...but since I dont know your last name watch out for intials....you dont want them to spell bad things!!!

I went to Baby Names and used the Baby Name Finder tool.
http://www.babycenter.com/baby-names-amb...
Keep scrolling down that page to see other suggestions under the Baby Name Explorer section. This should help. Baby Names helped me come up with a variation of my daughter's name. Perhaps it could help you too. Good Luck!

Mrs. Webb I really think you're on to something haha! My boyfriend & I did the same thing I wrote our's down too and I would yell it by myself. I think because when my mom got mad at me she would yell my name and I knew she meant business!

Why don't you use Stevie as her first name. It's different...I think Stevie Lynn or Stevie Marie...
