My daughter will be one on Valentine's Day and I am still having to rock her. I have tried setting a bedtime routine, dinner, bath, story, bed and then put her in her crib but she screams and screams and then chokes. Her doctor told my husband and I to just leave her that eventually she will crash. I don't feel right doing that it makes me feel terrible. What should I do? It is getting to the point that even when I put her down for bed she screams getting rocked too. Please help!

Your doctor is very old-school. Continue to rock your daughter. Do what you need to do for her to relax and fall asleep peacefully at bedtime.

How does she fall asleep at nap time? Does she wake up during the night?

Her doctor told me that she would cry, cough, choke, and maybe vomit and the thought of any of that happening is absolutely horrible. I wouod gladly rock her, and I still try, but she hits, bites, screams, cries, and it sometimes takes hours to get down and even then we tiptoe. During naptime i usually rock her but its not without a fight. I just don't feel like it should be that way. And at night she sometimes sleeps all night. Others nights she wakes up at 3 wanting to play.
