My son refuses to take his antibiotics. Hes 6 1/2 months old and he was diagnosed with a double ear infection, he was originally on Amox but it wasn't working, to my DREAD they prescribed him Augmentin (it tastes terrible) the pharmacist wouldn't flavor it for me (old grumpy man) so what can I put this in to make it taste better? Just to make this trickier..hes breastfed exclusivley. Hes only had a couple spoonfuls of food here and there and he doesn't even barely eat that. if I put it in food he most liklely won't get all the medicine. I'm at a loss HELP ME!

Myson was exclusively breastfed and bottle fed breast milk when he had to take antibiotics. I would mix the meds with a bit of milk and put it in a bottle nipple and et him suck it that way. He wouldnt take a passifier then. It seemed to workreally well. Good luck!

try a reli-a-dose http://reliadose.com/ My son was worse than a cat to give meds to and this was a miracle device. I've mixed medicine with juice and milk. I love the reli-a-dose tough cuz I knew he actually took it all. I think we got ours from Walmart or Target. Before we got it we'd have to hold him down and put a finger in his cheek and use the syringe doser the pharmacy gave us and slowly squirt it in his cheek until he took it all. This was the doctors advice BTW. Very traumatic for mommy and daddy and our son.

What ever you try good luck and hope he feels better soon!
