I just reread the opening post and saw that:o) Have you tried taking the stopper out? The liquid would flow freely then! It might be a little messy, but we've had to do that with our daughter a few times. Sometimes she gets it other times she doesn't. Again you could try a real cup. Just buy a child size plastic cup and only put a little bit of liquid in at a time. Again another messy one, but it might work!! Good luck:o)

Try the sippy cups with the soft tips on them thats what I did with my daughter they sell them at wal-mart they have 3 different tips that you can use try each one and see whicch one he likes as far as the water put a little sugar in the water it makes it sweet then he should drink it

TAKE IT AWAY! It's as simple as that. He only wants it out of habbit and for comfort. You mentioned he's having problems with the sippy cup, my daughter likes the Playtex brand sippy cups with no handles. Be sure to get the ones that say they are for "advanced" because the flow will be faster. I tried a few others but the flow was too slow so my daughter would get frusterated and quit trying. If you can't bring yourself to just get rid of bottles KEEP PUTTING WATER IN THE BOTTLE. He may not like it and put up a fuss but eventually he will get sick of fighting you and you will win! Remember, persistance pays off! Hope this helps! Good luck! =)

get him one of those nubby sibby cups, they look like a bottle, but they're really a sippy cup.....thats what my daughter is using...she jus turn'd 2 an loves her bottle, but she bit a big hole in the nipple and she loves the new sippy cup/sippy bottle...lol....that mite be a lil bit easier for u...oh an for his teeth, add a lil bit of water to the juice so its not so hard on his teeth...it works for me.jus make sure he's not watching u when u add the water cuz then he'll know the difference.

Just dont give him the bottle. He will quickly figure out the sippy is his only option

Just take all the bottles and walk your son out to the garbage and throw it away. That is how I got two children off the paci and bottles. It's hard for the first couple of nights, but once they see they have no choice, he'll start to use the sippy. I did it on days that I knew I would be off work for a couple of days because I knew it would be exhausting.

How old is he? If the bottle is such a big deal maybe you shoul just take it away! You should continue to give him his sippy cup and depending on his age you could try a real cup. My daughter is 9 months and we sometimes practice with a real cup at mels. We help her with it and it often ends up all over but at least she's trying:o) As for the water, just keep offering it to him. Good luck!
