I really hate this!

It really bothers me when I'm out with my 2 kids (my oldest has down syndrome) and i get stopped by older women. It would be fine I don't mind them looking at them or saying hi. But when they say to me they are so much better that way. Or I wish I had one. I just look don't know what to say. I think both my kids are equally great and it makes me so mad that people say things like that.

my daughter doesnt have a disability as such but she has been tube fed for a year. shes nearly 15 months now and when she was a newborn i never seemed to get questions now i get them all the time and i am nice about it but sometimes i wish i could write the answer on my forehead so i dont have to keep explaining it because it gets frustrating. but i admit the ones that frustrate me more are the ones that comment on how cute she is or stare at her but dont ask, even though i know they are just trying to be polite. except when i told one that how nothing was wrong medically and explained the situation she said well if thats what they tell you i guess you have to believe it. made me kind of angry because i knew there was nothing medically wrong and she made that judgement without knowing my daughter

I've never gotten comments like that but I do get the stares and the what is wrong with them. My three older kids have a condition called Fragile X Syndrome. And when you look at them you cant tell but when thye start to talk or sometimes have out burst they look at them weird. I dont like that. If they would ask politely about what thye have I would tell them. I prefer for them to ask then give dirty looks or say things like whats wrong with that kid. And I agree all of my kids are equal I have three other kids.
