I was wondering if any Mom's out there have had a vbac? Also what were the conditions that required the original c-section and how did the vbac work out?

No i was able to deliver at a normal hospital. I know how you feel though my son was born at 5pm and I did not get to see him or hold him untill about noon the next day, he got stressed and had to be taken to the NICU, but it turned out he had nothing wrong. i think you will be fine to try, but if you should go over your due date or have any medical complications know that they cannot induce labor because of the risk of uterine rupture. But other than that I would just talk to your Doc and and make sure that there isnt any physical reason that you cant have a baby vaginally and if everything is ok go ahead and give it a go.

Sounds like a similar story, 4.5 hours of pushing and she was stuck. They did an emergency c-section and she was fine. She is a year old now and we are starting to think about having another one and I have heard alot of people say that you shouldn't try to have a vaginal delivery after a c-section because it can pose a great risk to you and the fetus. However, I would really like to try to have a vaginal delivery next time. It seemed like a really long recovery and it was hours after delivery before I could hold my daughter. Thanks for sharing your story with me Katie! Also, did you need to go to a specialty hospital when you did your vbac?

I had a vbac 9 months ago, It worked out very well, i had a quick labor and delivery with no complications, thank god. i ended up having an emergency c-section with my first because he got stuck in the birth canal and after 5 hours of pushing and using the vac they decided he was just not going to budge. I was really nervous when it got around the time for my second son to come i was really scared that the same thing would happen, but at three weeks early he came with no problem, i only had to push once and he pretty much came out on his own, and I was able to have a natural labor! Are you considering a VBAC? if so what happened with your first?
