her head probably will stay down.. and sorry but it IS a good thing- but i know how you feel. I would try getting down on your hands and knees and then arch your back and round your back alternately to help relieve the pressure a little (this is cow-cat position in yoga). Also lower back massage helps some- just have your partner or a friend push on your back with their fist or a tennis ball. swimming or a warm bath can help some. if you can afford it (kind of expensive $125-$150) go to your local spa and invest in a preganancy massage... it is so worth it and will make you feel so much better- plus a good massage therapist can give you tips on how to make yourself more comfortable. oh... and if you dont do it already sleep with a pillow between your legs- full body pillows are best!

my baby has been head down since 29 weeks. i can barely walk anymore because i'm soo sore. i'm 33 now and today they told me he's pretty much ready to go. he's 5 pounds 15 ounces so i'm extremely sore! there's not much you can do at this point. unfortunately the baby wont turn at this stage!

I feel your pain!! I am 36 weeks and there is so much pressure down there from her head. Its very difficult to walk, lift legs, change positions in bed, and much more!! I remember with my first daughter it was the exact same way. Its bitter sweet. Very uncomfortable but necessary for delivery. Good Luck!!

She won't move at this point. She's where she needs to be :) My daughter turned at about 30 weeks and I found the only relief I got was to go for a swim. I was heavily pregnant in the middle of a very hot Australian summer so it was perfect for me. The water took the weight off my hips, the pressure out of my pelvis and gave my body a bit of a rest. I was actually in the pool when I went into labour!!

Hey Amy. Welcome to my wolrd ;-) i'm 33wks and my baby is head down since wk 31. Doctor in hospital said he might come earlier but definitely there is nothing wrong with him being in his final position already! It is hurting me too these days which is sign that its getting very close. Don't worry tho, i'm sure you'll be fine.

Try enjoy and relax the next few weeks before your "mini you" arrive. ;-)

Good luck x

Quoting Savannah:

I doubt, hon, sorry. My first son has his feet up in my ribs from 5 1/2 months in until the end. I tried everything that was suggested and absolutely nothing worked. It was extrememely painful and even though he is two now that spot is still tender! He was just a really long baby. Maybe your girl is, too.

I am tender too and my son is 4 months old...so it does last a while hunh?

leave her be honey, but maybe walking a bit might give you some relief and make her move a bit. not too much walking though!

Her head is supposed to be down at this point. I know that it hurts but she's doing what she should be doing.
