I have 2 girls that are 3 years and 8 months and I have been thinking about going back to school. I am currently not working and having trouble finding work. I also have a very less than supportive boyfried. I know doing it would be stressful but I think in the end it would majorly benefit my family. I just want to get opinions to help me make my decision.

It is hard but it was well worth it. I just graduated and my daughter was my motivation when it got to be too much. Keep a picture of them with you at all times and when you get stressed or too frustrated look at it and remember you are doing this for them. Go for school it will be one of the best things to do. Good luck to you

It is not easy at all. My daughter is about to be 3 and I went back last semester. I took 3 classes plus I worked full-time as a restaurant manager so the hours were hectic. I am lucky to still live at home with my mom who doesn't work so she would watch my girl. But when I get home it's all mommy. So trying to do school work and have a girl on you trying to get you to make her some chocolate milk, or change the channel, or play with her...is hard. I remember I had to do a poster board for a presentation and I walked off. When I came back my daughter had ripped some of the stuff off the posterboard. I was tired a lot but in the end it will be worth it all. Study and work hard now. You will have time to enjoy and relax later...while kinda...since Motherhood is a full time job too.

DO IT!!!! It'll kick your ass and you'll be exhausted but for the rest of their lives your lil girls will know how tough and smart and ambitious and strong and successful their mommy is. I went back to school when my son was only 10 weeks old and the hardest part was leaving him but we both fell into a routine pretty quickly and now I'm 5 classes away from graduation. I don't get straight A's anymore but I am damn proud of my 3.5 GPA and know that I will be so proud to have my son watch me cross that stage at graduation. Don't let anything hold you back, your professors will be understanding that you have more than just school on your mind. Good luck!

If you have an oppertuniaty to go back to school GO FOR IT don't let anything hold you back and when you start to get stressed out just remind yourself why you are doing it! you have two beautiful girls to take care of, they are still younge and going back to school would make a major improvement in all of your lives. It's not going to be easy, I wish I could tell you it was.

on a side note, if your boyfriend isn't supportive, and i'm not trying to tell you how to live your life, but he's probably not the man you should be with. anyone that isn't supportive of you going back to school to improve your life and the lives of your children probably shouldn't be envolved in your life.

It's definately not easy. I often find myself crawling into bed at 2 and getting up at 5 all in order to get all of my readings done and papers written. That being said, I know that when I'm it'll all be worthwhile. You can do it as long as you're doing it for all of the right reasons (your daughters and your personal development are a good place to start) and you're studying something that you are passionate about. I hope this helps you make your decision.
