Renae is right...No two pregnancies are the same. I had a friend whom I seen everyday the entire 9 mo. and I had no clue she was pregnant. None of us (her friends) did! I did not think that was possible with her bacause she was not a big girl, she was "I am taking a really good guess but" around 5'5" and 125# the only thing I noticed is she was wearing joggers all the time. i just thought it was because she wanted to be comfy. LOL She also had a normal sized baby 7#

It's perfectly normal. From what I've learned in the past 8 1/2 months, no two pregnancies are alike. I didn't start showing til I was 5 months. Now thats depressing... no one believed I was pregnant!  :) Your size might only be fluid retention too. Unless your doctor says otherwise, I'd enjoy it!

It does show on smaller people much earlier. I am quite big and i was always very jealous of all those women with big pregnant bellies - i did not show at all until 7 months and then within a few weeks i looke like a whale. it grew so fast and i have streach marks from my boobs to the tops of my legs to proove it. It was all baby though because after he was born i had only gained 5lb!!

If Im not mistakened Gestational,  I think that means that you in fact have a inplanted embryo and not an Ectopic pregnancy where the egg doesnt get inplanted. Its a good thing!!!:-) Means that you're in fact PREGNANT! :-)

If they only seen one, than you just have one lil one in there! But then again your next sonogram will find out for sure if one was hiding behind the other one!! :-) But usually during the 1st sonogram they will be able to tell if you are expecting multiples. So you should be good to go!! :-)

Hey! I am almost 17 weeks pregnant with Twins. First Pregnancy. I was showing at 6 weeks..I looked like I was also further along than what I really was! I found out at the 8 weeks ultrasound, that the reason I was gaining weight so fast is because I am expecting twins! You might want to get that checked out during your ultrasound!:-) I am also skinny, but I have already almost gained 25 lbs already and was told that I am going to show more because Im thin! Good Luck and Congrats!!! :-)

I'm not a dr but I know from a very close friend that the VERY same thing happened to her. It's not uncommon that a woman of ur size 2 look so pregnant. Hope I helped. Don't stress urself out.

don't worry about it. I have a friend who jokes about how she looks pregnant as soon as she conceived! Everyone is different, but i would say that since you were already so small before you got pregnant that you will probably show more than say a large person. My sister was so big before she got pregnant that at the end of her pregnancy a man asked how her delivery was..she was still pregnant.

I din't show until 5 months+ with bub number 1 (born June 30 '08) and am already 3 months pregnant with my second, and was showing by 5 weeks.

Smaller women show alot more, and so do shorter women, as some one already said, the smaller and shorter you are, the less room there is and so the belly must go out! Enjoy showing early, people are nicer to you and more helpful if they can SEE that you are pregnant. No one really noticed with my first until so late, so this time it is a nice change to have it showing dso early!

Remember that your body will do what's needed to make a healthy baby, so enjoy!

I have been told that you start to show alot quicker with your second one than with your first (which is why I have put of trying for my second baby until AFTER I get married in September!) . I was only about 50kgs when I fell pregnant with my son and I started to show - well, to me it looked like I was showing - at around 8-9 weeks because I had no belly to begin with! Oh how I miss my dead flat stomach!! :P

no need to worry. i gained 15 lbs by the time i was 8 weeks along. by the time i was three months along i was in all maternity clothes and couldn't hide it if i wanted to. i gained alot of weight in the first half of my pregnancy and not much in the later half. i gained 45 lbs with that pregnacy, which was good considering i gained over 60 with the other two.

It's perfectly normal!

You've only gained 6 lbs so i wouldn't be worried! I think I gained 10lbs in the first 2-3 months and i ended up only gaining 37 during my whole pregnancy. Your body is preparing itself to make a nice little home for your baby over the next few months.

The weight is gonna keep coming so just enjoy being pregnant, big and beautiful!!!

And that's true, you could be having twins! Good Luck!!!

at 5-1/2 weeks I don't think it's much more than a tiny embryo. I don't even think the armd, leg buds have sprouted. It's probably just fluid retention. Your body is getting ready to grow a baby and since your so tiny it's just showing a little more.

i found out i was pregnant at 6 weeks and then found out i was having twins at 8 weeks. i started at 5'3 115lbs, and gained 53lbs which was not bad for twins but i was all belly. what i was told and did religiously was cocoa butter twice a day every day till the day i delivered. i was in maternity clothes by 3 months, but my stretch marks didnt really appear until 30 weeks. even when you are done with the birth, continue to put that cocoa butter on to reduce the site of stretch marks. i do still have some but they are not that bad as what they could have been!

yes don't worry. I am going to guess you have about 8 inches on your waist?? yes it is the same here and you are going to get more trust me just watch now that you are eating your veggies and all healthy food with a couple glasses of milk a day. Have small meals (about 5or 6 a day and snack before bed) that you would feed a 5 yr old, and don't forget a botttle of a hour!! And you will notice that you not hungry,Snacking less, no constipation and you will have more energy then you think!! With all of this do some excersising durring the week when you have time right now what is best is lots of walking!! and you will be good!!!
Right now I am doing the same thing and am almost 23weeks pregnant. These were tips i had given to me by the nurse in my Prenatal classes!!!

yes..its very normal, it really depends on your body structure and how much room the baby has to grow in your womb.. im 5'1" and i weighd 109 pounds and by my 4 months i was really showing everyone kept asking me if i was having twins or a 10 pound baby... but i only had one and he weighd 7lbs 7oz. so just hang in there..

My friend is 3 months pregnant, and looks like she's 6 months pregnant. She was freaked out, too, until she talked to her doctor about it and he said it's bc she's so short, the baby and surrounding area have nowhere to go but out, lol. Good luck, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

It doesn't sound normal but that doesn't mean there's a problem! With little people every pound shows up a lot more than in larger individuals.

I was showing at 5 1/2 weeks and in maternity clothes by 8 weeks with my third pregnancy. I am about your size. I gained 29 lbs the first time, 38 lbs the second time and 62 lbs the third time.
