Is it ok for me to still work on a graveyard shift eventhough I am three months pregnant?

My doctor always told me that working was fine as long as I was doing it before I got pregnant, and not to start anything new. I say its fine I went in to labor at work.

I worked night shift at a hospital while I was pregnant. I was actually working the night I had my baby. I just walked down to the birthing center and hours later, I had a beautiful baby girl.

I worked 4nights a wk on the graveyard. My last night was 6/19. Went home the morning of 6/20. Rested all day. Went to the mall with my 8 year old. Sunday 6/21 packed my bag, and made sure I had everything for the hospital. Monday 7am, 6/22 arrived @ hospital for my c-section. I was 39wks and 3 days. My baby was born just fine. Overnight work is easy, its the hours that are hard to maintain. I had to work until the end. As long as you are getting enough sleep, you'll be fine!

I agree. I worked 40 hours a week all the way until a couple days before I was due. If you feel comfortable working your still able to get enough to eat and enough sleep I think you should be fine. It's not like you are starting something new it something that you have already done before pregnancy. Do what you feel is comfortable.

I worked through all four of my pregnancies. If you are ever really concerned about something, on your next doctor visit it should be discussed. But truely as long as you eat right and get 7 to 8 hours of sleep you should be fine until the last trimester.

I worked graveyard until I was put on disability for sciatica at 7 1/2 months. I worked as a nurse aid, so it was a pretty physical job, even at night. And I was fine. Just make sure you get plenty of rest.

I worked till I was 8 months pregnant. As long as you get enough sleep and your not too tired during the day you can work and it wont affect the pregnancy unless your in a job with alot of physical activity then you limit yourself and it wont hurt ya.
