Ever since I had my son I have been quite down in the dumps, and he is almost 3 months old, I pretty much feel like garbage all the time, and I never want to do anything, my doctor tells me "its just your hormones, it'll pass" but I honestly don't think its my hormones, 3 months? that seems a little bit long for my hormones to be getting back in check and its really annoying.... anyone else going through something like this, or have any idea what the hell is wrong with me?

look into therapy or even a mom's group near you. I'm sure talking to someone will help.

You had raging hormones in your body for 9 months. Its going to take a while for your body to readjust. You should be able to ask your doc for some meds to help. I took some when I had post partum, they helped a lot. its normal, it will pass.

Try changing your diet, maybe. That can make a big difference, in my experience. Try to eat only whole foods, nothing processed and no pop. Even if you only do it for a short amount of time, it'll clean you out and your mood will improve. Maybe start getting some fresh air, going for walks, getting some exercise. It can really make a big difference! good luck:)

sounds like post partum depression. If that doctor won't diagnose you find someone else. Get a second opinion because being depressed isn't good for you or your baby. Good luck. I hope things turn out for the better.

I was like that. They called mine post-partum depression, but I dont' know. I was tired and my daughter had a rough start and we had tons of visiters for the first 3 or 4 months she was born, so it just all added up. I was even sad that she wasn't inside me anymore. I felt lonely. (i realize how stupid that sounds, but that's what I felt like) It's severity varies though. Would you be against asking the doctor for medication? Explain that if you've never had depression, you would just need something to calm your nerves now and for a little while, nothing long term. If he/she doesn't want to help you, I'd go to another doctor that will. Most of them understand.
