last Sunday my son and my parents and siblings were out to eat and my son started to contract the right side of his shoulder and grin then relax, then he’d do it again and again... i didnt think it was something to worry about at 1st because he was excited and laughing with my little brother and sister, so it just seemed as if he was playing but this went on for 2 min, i got it on film and showed my pediatrician. he referred me to a neurologist, where he told me everything was completely fine with my son, but wants him to go to a sleep center for a 24 evaluation to see if something changes in his brain if this episode were to happen again.

has any of your children done anything like this?

My friend has a little boy who's twitches mean he's just had a seizure. It's absolutly nothing to worry about, she says, because they run in her family. Just little 2 second seizures, you know? Now, I'm not saying that's what this is; I don't know if they run in your family or not, or exactly what his twitches look like. It could be, like Deidre says, absolutly nothing to worry about. Just a possibility worth checking out, I would think. Good luck. Hope all's well!

I would say that this isn't normal behavior esp since your ped referred you to someone about it. It may be absolutely nothing to worry about but I'm glad you spoke to your doctor and are getting things checked out :) Not all 'twitches' and such are serious but sometimes it is.

*hugs* I probably would have freaked if that had happened to my daughter. I freak about everything though :p

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that it's awesome you're getting things done to make sure things are okay.
