Hello moms, I need a little help. After having my daughter I got the Mirena and my husband and I want to have another baby. I don't have insurance because I lost it when I started this job and then lost the job so I don't know what to do. Is there any way I can get the IUD taken out without having to pay a whole lot.

I've heared that planed parenting clinics will take it out for you. It would probably be cheap or free. Check and see if there are any near you. If not see if where you live has a planned parenting ( medicade) program they cover all birth contol for free. Untill your 29.

Try Planned Parenthood and call the place you got it inserted at see what they say. Removal may have been included when you had it inserted. I mean its only good for 5 yrs so I dont see how they can leave something in simply because you cant afford to take it out. I know I got an infection from my but because it wasnt life threatening the ER wouldnt take it out but called my OB/GYN and they took it out and I didnt have Ins at the time.

depends on where abouts you are in the world? in nz its free to have them removed. im not 100% sure about Aussie though but i do know that medicare funds it here in australia, if you have a card of course.

the cheapset IUD to have is the cooper ( which its called another name in AU too )
