I need a good jogging stroller that I can use right after the baby is born. I have a large dog that is undergoing rehab and will have to be walked, plus I want to try and get right back into shape. Suggestions?!?

I got the baby trend jogging stroller and car seat set. It is the most afordable set out there with a jogging stroller and I love it!! That way you can hook the car seat on it for her to be safe even at a young age. I used it when she was 2 weeks old and it was easy to move and very balanced. She hardly bounced. Definitely one of the best buys I have had.

A jogging stroller isn't recommended for a newborn. Some even say that a baby under 12 m.o should never be brought on a jogging stroller due to possible rough and bumpy ride that is potential for the development of vital tissues such as delicate brain tissue. Regardless any protecting auxiliaries such as infant car seat, or head and neck support to protect your infant, still you cannot be 100% certain about it. Basically, a jogging stroller is considered safe if LO already has a stable neck control/be able to sit unassisted (around 8-12 m.o, the case is different for each baby). If your LO isn't ready yet, don't push it, don't take a risk.

I have to say BOB revolution strollers all the way. I love my BOB stroller. I use it all the time and my kids love the stroller too. It's the only stroller that my 3 year old likes riding in.

I have not heard of a jogging stroller that is safe for newborns. The little research I did suggested that you not use it until your baby has a strong enough neck. Depending on the baby that's from 2-4 months old. My guy was ready right away at two months. Although if you're just walking you might be alright, just check out the harness system and reclining options to make sure it will hold such a little one. Maybe put in one of the head supports for car seat too. I did that for a while.

I always pinch pennies so I got one for cheap on craigslist and since it was well used I knew it probably worked well, and it has.

I would suggest finding one where the front wheel can be locked in one position or move freely so you can adjust it to fit the terrain. My InStep's front wheel doesn't turn and that makes it hard to navigate some corners.

And me pesonally, I wasn't ready to go running for about 7 weeks after my little guy was born cuz he did a number on my bum so I was pretty sore.

Best wishes for healthy birth :-)

I suggest getting the BOB Revolution with the swivel wheel. Best stroller I have ever seen! It's a little pricey, but totally worth it. And you can use it with an infant car seat, just buy the attachment. It's a wonderful stroller, I use mine all the time!
