Anyone else have this issue? My husband never wakes up with the baby at night. We have a 10 week old who wakes up maybe once or twice during the night. Although I am breastfeeding, it would be nice to have his support while I'm getting up to feed/change the baby. I'm so exhausted while he gets a good nights rest.. What should I do!!!

Girls u need to go get a breast pump! Express during the day then dad has a bottle ready to give the bubs at night, sometimes I go get our baby n put him in bed with my hubby n hand him the bottle, it works great!!!

Just remember it doesn't last forever but as Jodi said, we are geared to wake at the sound of our babies. That's the way nature intended since we are the nurturers.

We are naturally geared to hear them wake, so unless you give him a kick, you really need to own this one.

I guess he doesn't hear it. I always wake up saying, am I the only one that hears this??? He Is pretty useless since I'm breastfeeding, but I guess I'm just jealous because he gets good sleep n I don't

It's not because he is lazy, let's get that one straight. He probably doesn't hear it. Honestly, my hubby never heard the kids waking up, ever. Women are lighter sleepers, generally, for this very reason. Unless you are giving him a kick to help and he is refusing? Then I would consider it an issue.

Have you mentioned it to him? He could be thinking that he's no use since you are breastfeeding and have to get up anyway.
Is he working? If he is then I would let him sleep when he has work the next day but if he has a day off then he can help.
