I am leaving my 6 month old ( with Grandparents ) for the weekend and I'm feeling absolutly HORRIBLE about it! I've never been away from her and I'm freaking out! I'm almost tempted not to go. Any advise?

Smart thinking! Its totally natural to freak out! Actually I have a confession.... my youngest is 2 my oldest is 3 and I still freak out! Your just doing your job if protecting your baby.

Well I'm going on a camping trip 3 hours away so i cant get to her if something happens... I think thats why I'm freaking out. But I;m leaving insurance info with them and a letter saying it's ok to give treatment if need be

I know how you feel. I couldn't sleep the first night my Son stayed with his Grammy! The entire time he was gone I ended up shopping and buying him new clothes, toys, ect because I felt so bad! The first time is the hardest, once you find out she is going to be fine it will be ok.

GOOO!!! have a great time! I don't understand first time moms sometimes... but i also remember how it was for me.. Its hard but honestly a day will come when you will be BEGGING for people to take the baby. 6 months is perfectly fine... The grandparents have had their share of raising kids and its not rocket science! You or your partner turned out just fine... right?! lol jk! Its perfectly normal for you to worry and want to pick up and call every ten seconds... if somethings wrong you'll be the very first to know!

She has a good relationship but I've never left her with them longer than a few hours. I'm always the one there when she needs something or is going down for the night. I feel like I'm on the break of a an anxiety attack.... (deep breath)

It's hard the first time, when my husband and I brought our twins over to his parents house, and left them there for a while They were about 5 months old ( three and a half corrected). It does get easier though. It's almost impossible not to feel anxious the whole time you're away from your baby, but know that she'll be in good hands, especially if she has a good relationship with her grandparents.

Oh hun trust me I went through it SOOO bad, my hubby finally had people come over to pick me up to take me out, while he cared for our son, and all I did was CRY the WHOLE TIME, but it does get better over time. If you want to talk let me know.

It was hard for me to leave my daughter (for work, for dinner, for date-night) but honestly, I don't think she noticed the difference. As long as she has a great relationship with her grandparents and she knows they will comfort her, then that's great.

Honestly, in the middle of the night my daughter will only go to me or my mother (we lived at her house for 2 months) so I feel perfectly alright with my mother watching her. I've never left her over-night (shes 9 months) but if you feel comfortable go for it! Get a well deserved break!
