Hey all,

My name is Jessica. I'm in Granite City and due to have my baby boy Camdyn in just a few weeks! I"d like to connect with other moms in my area and hopefully develop some friendships as well. I have had 3 miscarriages, and this is the only time I have carried a baby to term-well as of this Tuesday he will be! I am excited and also a bit nervous that at the last minute something could go wrong. I know my mind likes to wonder. There is no reason to think anything will go wrong. I just have this too good to be true feeling. He is healthy as can be at this point. As much as I have enjoyed being pregnant I am ready for him to be here!

Hi I live in Florida, not in the area as well!!!!! Congratulations on carrying your baby full term. At this point the hard part is over he or she is fully developed you"ll be fine girl!! I am 26 a first time mom and ready to welcome baby girl Zuri into the world :))))) I'm so excited and scared at the same time as I've been trying to conceive for a while now. My biggest worry is who's going to watch my little princess when I start back working!!!! I'm very over- protective and she isn't even here yet! Lol

going to college then university was the best thing i ever did. It was difficult leaving my little man all dat at nursery with complete strangers, but he made some friends who he keeps in touch with and being an only child this is essential for his development. The hardest thing is the first day but each day gets easier x

Hi Jessica, I'm Sara. I'm 27 & live in San Antonio, so, not in your area but yea, always good to connect w other Moms. So happy to hear about your baby boy! My daughter's 3 and I miss when she was a baby so much. they grow so darn fast! I'm sure you've heard that a million times.

I'm a full time student and will be graduating next month! So excited. It's definitely better to finish up school while they're young IMO.

I've also found that being so busy with school and having a family, I've lost a lot of my friends...In fact, pretty much all of them. I'm engaged with my daughter's father but we're so different. I'm looking to make some new Mom friends who can understand me and what I go through. That's what brought me to this website.

If I don't talk to you before Tuesday, I wish you good luck. Just try to relax as much as possible. Everything will turn out just fine :) I literally slept while I was in labor; I love how they manage everything now.

Only advice I have (not that you care to have it) is if the dr suggests giving you medication to help speed along the labor process, I would say no and let the baby come out naturally whenever he's ready. But that's it!

Thanks Gemma, it's great to hear from you! You sound pretty busy. I am considering going back to college to finish my degree. I just have two years left, so I believe it is doable, I just have to work out a few things after the baby is here. I hope you have a great day!
