Hi all. Just to start I am not new I just don't really post or get on here often.
Anyway, I am a mummy of 2 beautiful little girls one is 4.5 yrs old and just started prep this year, the other is 13.5 mths.
My question to you is when do you feed your children their evening meal? I have found that since my oldest has started prep she is really tired and wants to snack so much that she doesn't want the meal I give her at dinner time. Because prep here is a compulsory 5 day a week thing and her school goes from 8:20am until 2:30pm I wonder if maybe I should give both the girls a early evening meal instead of the snacks and then maybe give them a snack just before bedtime (which is no later than 8:00pm in our house). And if I do give them an early evening meal what time do you think would be a most appropriate time to serve it as our dinner time here is no later then 6:30pm at the moment. They are both wanting to go to bed early because they are both tired (the 13.5mth old doesn't like to sleep for more than 2 hours a day and only wants 1 sleep a day).

Thanks to all in advance for all responses and help

My DD is 6 and in first grade. She gets breakfast at 7:30, lunch at school at 11:30, an afternoon snack at Boys and Girls Club around 4:00 and dinner between 5:30 and 6:00. She also gets a small snack at 8:00 and is in bed by 8:45.

my boys get fed between 5 and 6, if i were you I' just go by the child. There would be no harm giving her a meal at 4, then a snack before bed? as long as she's getting the calories and food she needs just go by what suits her! :)

We have always had dinner between 4 and 5pm, never later then 5pm. My daughter goes to bed a 7 so if we ate any later she would not have time for fun and bath before bedtime. My daughter is usually very hungry when she wakes up at 7am but it doesn't effect her sleeping.
